Adoption Advocate

The agency provides the birth parent(s) with an adoption advocate who will also be available for personal counseling (if desired) throughout the entire adoption process. The advocate will educate the birth parent(s) on the options available to the birth parent(s) and the unborn child as well as provide information on all aspects of the adoption process. This professional support is provided during the pregnancy, at the hospital, and after the baby is born. The adoption advocate will remain available to the birth parent(s) as long as it is needed (generally not to exceed one year from the date of birth).
