Legal Assistance

Adoption Bridges of Kentucky works in conjunction with law offices across the state to provide birth parent representation. Additionally, the agency provides consultations on adoption laws - specifically how each adoption law will affect the birth parent(s) particular situation. The birth parent(s) who places a baby for adoption is engaged in the legal process, however, the agency contract attorney initially provides assistance to answer questions and provide clarification. The agency contract attorney makes contact with an attorney in the birth parent(s)’ county or elsewhere regarding legal representation for the birth parent(s). That attorney will meet with the birth parent(s) and provide the legal paperwork needed for court, discussing the process in detail.
