Post-Placement Services

If desired, the birth parent(s) has the option of requesting photos, letters and updates on the child from the adoptive parent(s). The amount of contact the adoptive parent(s) have with the birth parent(s) is a very personal, individual choice and may range from no contact to frequent contact. Adoption Bridges of Kentucky requires that all receiving parents agree to furnish the birth parent(s) with pictures and letters on the child's development and progress four times the first year and on the second and third birthdays. Any additional expectations will be the responsibility of the birth parent(s) and adoptive parent(s) to discuss and agree upon.
