Post Adoption for International Adoption

Post adoption is referred to as the monitoring of an adoptoin case after finalization in the birth country.  Post adoption services are an assessment of the adoptive parents, child and other individuals in the home with a goal of assisting with family adjustment and stability. The assessment includes gathering information related to development, adjustment, physical health, mental health, etc. A trained social worker will provide resources as needed. All information is compiled in a written report called a post adoption supervision report.  These reports are sent to the child's birth country.
